They founded a tennis company, Tennis Worldwide, and quickly rose to prominence before a tragic accident forced them to shut it down. I'm a big fan of the Collin Johns Scorpeus and the Hyperion CFS 16 was one of, if not the best paddle on the market for quite some time. A lot of pros use Joola and for good reason. They're good paddles.
Times are changing though. Honestly, you don't need to spend Joola prices (^$200) to get a really good paddle. See brands like SixZero or VaticPro.
